The event is usually scheduled every other year, but because of the pandemic the 2020 show was cancelled. The last one held, in 2018, attracted nearly 3,000 exhibitors from 38 U.S. states, six Canadian provinces and 17 countries.
This is a one-of-a-kind must attend event for professionals in the lumber, panel and engineered wood products and wood-based energy and biomass industries. Make your plans today to be a part of the Timber Processing & Energy Expo!

It’s a Wrap!

It was an incredible few days in Portland at the Timber Processing and Energy Expo! The event featured exhibits from major equipment companies and suppliers in the wood processing and timber markets — and included workshops examining topics ranging from artificial intelligence in the sawmill industry to the revival of the North American wood panel market. The show had something for everyone and was attended by top industry professionals from across the globe.
We brought along one of our Brunette Veneer Chippers (with permission from its new owner, Richmond Plywood) where it made a big splash on the floor of the Portland Exposition Center. Amid the oohs and ahs, the team had the opportunity to show off the chipper and explain all the advantages of our machines to the crowd. We also launched our newest product line at the expo: CBI Magnum Force stationary, electric horizontal grinders. While both pieces of equipment commanded a lot of enthusiasm, we heard that the hit of the show was the Brunette barbecue on Wednesday night!
