Journeyperson Machinist / Apprentice
Are you a Journeyperson Machinist or an Apprentice working your way to Journeyperson status? Our machine shop in Prince George, BC has an opening for a machinist.
We are looking for someone who has a minimum of two years machinist or related trade experience and is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. If you have a comprehensive knowledge of trades math/trigonometry, can use precision measuring devices, perform quality checks, and have a strong desire to succeed in a vibrant, collaborative environment, you may be ideal for this position! We are looking for new talent to join our team! Do you live and breathe SolidWorks?
Do you have an excellent eye for mechanical design with strong attention to detail and a creative flair? We are looking for an analytical mechanical designer who is an enthusiastic and proactive self-starter with excellent communication/written skills.
If you are an adept problem-solver and with extensive experience using SolidWorks and 3D modeling, this may be your ideal position.
The best candidate will be someone with demonstrated experience in the preparation of designs, quotations, and manufacturing drawings – particularly someone who has mechanical design experience with heavy industrial machinery. Bonus points if you have designed wood processing machinery for the forestry industry.
